Nisga Butterfly Platter
Alisa Nielsen uses copper inlays to create her design detail which she created in the traditional Ksan (her tribe) formwork but has then skeletonized the design to control the copper movement in the glass creation. The colourway is created using several colours of powdered glass which are sifted and have gone through a fusing process prior. My designs are generally based on travel (physical or mental) and experiences.
